#RunnerGirl was first used in Siena Palicke's TikTok videos starting in 2020. As her social media presence grew, she gradually became known as the "Runner Girl". Siena's goal with social media has always been to encourage those around her to run. And actually enjoy it. What began as a recruiting company for athletes looking to run college has grown into a blog based, informational platform; With the intention to publish my first novel by summer of 2025. I hope that as the RunnerGirl brand continues to grow, more people will learn to love all aspects of being a runner.
The goal of RunnerGirl Co. is to encourage athletes to have a healthy relationship with running and equip them with the tools required to do so. Whether it be at the high school or college level, or simply as a means to exercise, running is meant to be enjoyed. Through my experiences of competing on a college team and afterwards on my own, I aspire to give runners the information needed to develop healthy habits and enjoy this sport into college.
Siena grew up running with her dad and this is where she first fell in love with running. The grit, early mornings and feeling of accomplishment left her excited and determine to compete at the collegiate level. Siena was recruited out of high school to run for UCLA and transferred after a year to continue her career at Texas A&M University. She is now retired from college racing, but continues to run and provide useful resources for high school student athletes looking to continue their career in college.
